Help a Venezuelan Girl and Her Family Rebuild

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Taylor, and I’d like to tell you about my friend, Karen.

Karen is 22 years old and has reached a point she never thought she would. Like many other Venezuelans out in the world, she has had to leave her home due to harsh, intense, and difficult conditions in search of a better, more stable future. But she has now come to a crossroads and needs help.

She is currently in transit abroad, unable to establish a productive, stable, and safe life. She is facing a harsh cycle that she cannot break on her own. She needs work to sustain herself, but she cannot afford the work visa that would allow her to do so legally. On top of that, she is unable to return to Venezuela at all, as flight restrictions have been abundant, making the cost of returning far too great and far too risky due to the inflation the country is suffering.

Why She Needs Help
Karen is not the only one who would benefit from your generosity:
• Her mother remains in Venezuela in a care facility, where she struggles with Bipolar Disorder. With the current economic instability, not only are the fees for the care facility difficult to afford, but her medicine is becoming more and more expensive. Her medical bills amount to thousands of dollars a month. Without help, her mother's stability is at risk.
• Her brother has been helping her by providing funds since the death of her father, keeping them afloat and working 2 jobs to do so. He has been the one paying for their mother’s medical bills for years. This has been incredibly stressful for him, and Karen wishes to take a weight off his shoulders.
• Without a work permit, or a permanent place to call home, Karen is figuratively stuck. She has the drive to work and push forward, but the high costs involved with getting a visa have created a massive barrier she cannot cross without help.

How Donations Will Help
Both Karen and I want to be 100% transparent about where the money goes. Your generous donations will be allocated to:
• Her Travel and Visa Fees: She will be able to return to Spain and establish a foundation there through a visa.
• Her Mother's Medical Care: She will be able to send money home consistently so that her mother can be stable with her psychiatric medications and comfortable in her care facility.
• Transition Needs: She will be able to cover basic food and shelter on her own while she works to establish a more stable self-sufficient life.

If you aren't able to donate, we ask that you share the link with your family, friends, or anyone you may know, as this is just as valuable and important to her and I.

Karen is a young woman who simply wants the chance to work, to provide for her mother and to build a life of dignity. Your kindness will be unforgettable to her, as it gives her hope that she is not alone.

We both offer thanks from the bottom of our hearts for you taking time out of your day to read her story, which is already more than we could have possibly asked for. Please consider sharing, & donating if you are able.
