Saturday, Feb 21, 2025, my Dad, Miguel Rodriguez, broke his leg and had emergency surgery 18 hours later. He’s a loving, independent man who had been working in rideshare for the past 2 years, and because of this horrible injury, needs help to get back on his feet. He will beep at TSA for the rest of his life due to the 2 plates and 13 screws in his lower leg. For the past 33 years, my dad has been battling a pituitary tumor in his brain, he doesn’t complain about it and many people don’t even know he lives with one. 

He has always just worked hard and kept working through life.

Many of you know my dad through sports, being from the old neighborhood, his siblings, social media, and being the big guy carrying around a big Basketball Hall of Fame sign looking for autographs this past year all over the United States. He has been an integral part of my life but has touched the hearts of many with his selfless giving whether it’s his time, giving away cards to collectors and even NBA Hall of Famers. Never asking for anything in return.

I’ve created this platform to allow friends, family everyone in the sports and trading card community to unite and show their support for my dad during this challenging time. This is where you come in. We need your help with his living expenses, as his primary source of income (rideshare) is off the table. Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference and allow him to focus on his health and well-being.
