A little help from his friends

To all of Sergio’s family and friends, I’m not sure if or how much you all are aware of his situation. But, he’s been dealing with some … STUFF…major…STUFF.
Sergio’s medical issues began back in September, 2021.  First one major surgery, then due to complications with infections and healing, another even more aggressive surgery, now here we are almost 10 months later still he’s trying to heal and prevent further surgical procedures (home visit nursing, 24/7 IV antibiotics, mobility equipment, specialized orthotics etc etc etc).  Unfortunately, due to these medical issues, he hasn’t been able to work, he attempted to return to work a few times (literally two times) but, was only able to work a few weeks before medical complications and setbacks made it necessary to stop working again (going back to work, in all reality probably exacerbated his conditions). He’s facing yet another surgery later this month, which will have him down at least another two or more months. Needless to say, no work, no income.  And with no income, there have been losses not only health wise, but financial and material.  Think about it, no money coming in, NONE, it doesn’t take long for most working people (especially in the paycheck to paycheck cycle) to lose most if not all of what they have.  SSI is a long process of “wait and see” and there are no guarantees there.  Oh and there was the effects of; “the pandemic”, being laid off for several months.
The future is highly uncertain, he’s heard from more than one doctor the prospect of, “you may never be able to return to a “stand for 8 hours” job”, and his medical struggles aren’t over yet.  In conjunction to medical issues, medical bills have become mountainous, this doesn’t even take into consideration living and just plain existing expenses.
Keeping his “head above water” is history, at this point he’s hoping to make a “come back” of some kind and adjust to his current situation.  His “new normal” is still to be determined.  Whether he will or won’t be able to return to work, is also an unknown.  That’s the goal, but in all reality could be an improbability.  At this point he’s hoping to get to a “starting point”, where he can gain some independence and try to play “catch up”.  With an “empty piggy bank” and no income, it’s not something he can do on his own.  And Sergio being Sergio, he has a real problem, asking for help.  So, you KNOW this is definitely a “last resort”, “no other alternative” measure.
Any help anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated.  And of course, prayers are always welcome.
