MN Taekwondo Center: Daedo Equipment
Donation protected
This year we had 12 kids qualify at State and go on to compete at the USA Taekwondo National Competition. They handled themselves well during competition, but had trouble scoring. The matches are scored electronically using Daedo equipment, and we have realized it would be beneficial for our kids to train with the same equipment. Our goal is to raise funds to purchase a Daedo Electronic Scoring System for the Center to allow the kids to practice on the system in order to improve their technique and become more competitive at sanctioned events.

We are asking families and friends of athletes who train at MN Taekwondo Center to contribute to this equipment purchase so that we can purchase equipment in Oct 2019.
Housekeeping:
- MN Taekwondo Center runs breakeven; current fees are used for space rental and coaching stipends. Instead of increasing fees, parents have decided to fundraise since not all kids at the center currently compete. Lower fees also keep the Center more accessible to families just beginning with TKD. We hope and encourage non-competition families to take part, as their kids may decide to compete in the future and this will help them train.
- Trupti Storlie is a parent organizing the collection. By collecting under the platform everyone has visibility to how much money is raised, and Master Koy can verify that he received the full amount. GoFundMe also has donor protections if the money is not used as described.

*****
MN Taekwondo Center is led by Master Punnarin Koy. Master Koy has a genuine love for the sport, competing as an athlete and then as a coach for the All-Army Team. He runs the Center at night and on weekends, after finishing his day job, to share his passion for TKD as a sport, and to help others, especially kids work toward their individual best. Not only does he teach them TKD skills, but also grows their confidence and builds their sense of team in this individual sport. As a family member or friend contributing to this fundraiser, you are giving a gift to your athlete that helps them long term: beyond developing TKD skills and active, strong bodies, your gift is helping these kids grow as people. Our kids build unique friendships as they work together and learn from each other at the MN Taekwondo Center. Thanks for your consideration!
