The Game Will Go On!
Each year, high school football players from across the State of Minnesota are nominated, considered, and selected to participate in an annual All-Star game/experience. This game is a tradition and has been hosted by the Minnesota Football Coach Association for 48 years. This year, the players were selected, notified, the game was planned, coaches outreached to players…and then it was cancelled on April 30, 2021, because of public health concerns for large events.
The 2020-2021 school year has been anything but normal for all high school seniors. For our football teams, seasons were cut short or cancelled, playoff games and the State Tournament were cancelled, and recruiting opportunities were limited, yet the boys selected to the high honor of the All-Star Football Showcase pressed on! Their accomplishments in the midst of adversity is what makes this a special group of boys. The Showcase is always a great way to celebrate all of the years of work, effort, and team leadership these boys have contributed to their communities.
And so…THE GAME WILL GO ON! Parents of players and community supporters have come together and formed a non-profit Minnesota. The board has made a commitment to host the selected boys at camp beginning on June 23rd and continuing through the 26th in preparation for the All-Star Showcase on June 26, 2021.
In recent years, the cost of this event has been more than $90,000. The committee has determined the event can be hosted if we raise at least $20,000 by June 26th, 2021. This can only be done with the generous support of philanthropic individuals, corporate/community partners, or by asking families to pay to play. We are determined to eliminate all player fees associated with participation. We have our work cut out to raise the funds necessary to cover the expenses associated with running a first-class All-Star Showcase. Can you help our All Stars by donating?
Choose to sponsor any player or a specific player from your community. This includes food, lodging, practice fields, coaching, athletic training, and apparel.
In Kind Donations: promotional products, apparel, banners, or services (e.g. photography, videography, etc.)
Financial donation in any amount from $5-$35,000
