** Update - Zopher needs some testing and medicine that insurance has not approved. Please see the latest update for details.

Our friends, Shane and Bonny, just learned their newborn son has Smith Lemli Opitz Syndrome (SLOS),  a genetic condition that affects cholesterol production in 1 in every 60,000 people . The severity of the symptoms of this syndrome are hugely varied.  Tests and symptoms seems to point to Zopher being mildly affected, but it is a waiting game.

Zopher has already had the surgery to get his g tube placed which will make feeding him much much easier while he learns to safely swallow.   PT and OT are starting up now, with many more medical appointments coming in the future.

Little Zopher has been through so much in his short few months of life.  So have his parents.  Please do what you can to help the Williams family.  Any amount will be greatly appreciated and used for Zopher's medical bills. Thank you!

Dean and Traci

(side note -- use caution against researching this syndrome anywhere but smithlemliopitz.org. Most of the info online only shows the very very worst case scenarios for this disease)
