Nicaragua has been under siege by its own government and Nicaraguenses need your help. Medical facilities are running low on supplies, transportation of food has been crippled, and unemployment has surpassed historical records (Expected to reach 220,000++).
Repressive outbreaks against the citizens of Nicaragua have become an ongoing and daily event. 1000's are being arrested under new "Terrorist Laws" unjustly, without due process, and are immediately imprisoned and tortured by Ortega's regime. The local stores are depleted and/or closed and many, many people are without work. In Nicaragua, many people work for daily wages to buy food, and now cannot due to the uncertainty, instability and insecurity of the nation.
I have been living here in Nicaragua for almost 5 years, and have made many friends while supporting my family and community. Originally, I am from the United States. Unfortunately, my contributions have become insufficient during this crisis, and people in my area are suffering daily. While $5000 USD may not seem like a lot of money to many people, it will help many people in Nicaragua immediately.
Please give what you can! No donation is too small or insignificant. $20 USD per person that sees this post can make a huge impact and help many during this desperate time of need. All funds donated are handled by myself and supplies procured are coordinated with random churches in local rural areas. Funds are managed by me and allocated with the advise of local pastors. No money transfer services are used on my end once funds are received from GoFundMe.
All donations will be utilized immediately at local hospitals or churches to provide support to those in need. I am currently in Nicaragua and personally oversee the distribution of funds and allocation of supplies.
