Bicycle accident

On 9/23/2019 at 4:15-4:30p Rick was riding his bike home from work and hit by a car and left unconscious on the side of the road, ( intersection of Catalina and Tennyson, just south of Voltaire )paramedics transported him to the hospital, he was unconscious and spend the night in the ICU, only to be woken up in severe pain with 6 broken ribs , a broken collar bone and a punctured lung. Rick is still is in the hospital recovering and will be unable to work for a few months and in need of help to pay medical bills. He had his helmet on wich may have saved his life , the crack in the back of the helmet shows it protected his head.
Unfortunately the backpack he was wearing, containing his wallet and cell phone are missing. His bike is also missing at this time. Im still trying to track them down.
We can hope someone did not steal property from and unconscious person in the middle of rush hour traffic. Rick is an experience cyclist and rides that route often, the street is even marked as a bike route on the pavement and street signs. The police report is not finalized and investigation still open, it may be a hit and run, not sure until I can speak with the investigation officers for more details. Hope the back pack shows up , wallet, and phone with all his work contacts. Thanks in advance for your support

Good News: property located ! the bike and backpack were transported by the ambulance and stored in the hospital security lockers. the wallet and phone were inside a pouch in the backpack, not easily found to be stored at admissions with the other valuables. Only two and a half days searching , all worked out.

Ricks doing better and should be able to give his side of the story to the investigating officers, as well as an update on the extent of his injuries.
