Hi, this is Dior. She is a 3-month-old Golden Retriever and enjoys surprise shark attacks and stinky socks. She has already had a couple of problems with her little puppy gut, which has resulted in diarrhea and bloody poops. After taking her to the ER, they diagnosed her with Intussusception and had to perform emergency surgery. They had to remove a large portion of her intestine leading to her colon. Luckily, the tissue around the stomach was not damaged, and she is in recovery.
This emergency surgery so far has cost $1,800 for the ultrasound (diagnosis) and $7,000 for the surgery itself. She will need to be on a special diet and receive round-the-clock care while recovering.
ALL money donated will go towards this surgery and recovery. Prior to this surgery, Dior was very excited to explore the world after shes been fully vaccinated. We hope to reduce some of the financial burden now because there are potentially more procedures that have to be done in the future.
