MMIT Support for Afghanistan Refugees

Good Afternoon,

As we continue to hear and see the situation in Afghanistan and the impact it has on the world, and as refugees flee Afghanistan, MMIT will be setting up a GoFundMe to support the refugees in our neighboring states in the Maryland/DC area.  We will match the employee contributions and provide the donation directly to the Homes Not Borders organization.  Homes Not Borders also allows for opportunities to volunteer in a number of ways, such as career mentors, furniture movers, set up home help, and woodworking teachers.  Please see below for more information about the organization and the different ways to help

This organization supports refugees and immigrants in the D.C./Maryland area by providing housing, household necessities, employment assistance, and more. They are asking for help supporting Afghan refugees through financial support and donations via an Amazon wishlist. They also need volunteers to help with things like moving furniture and setting up apartments (if you are local) and providing mentorship (local or via Zoom).
