As many of our friends and family know, Milton was rushed to the hospital on the morning of July30th. He was complaining of Tooth pain a couple months prior and was going to get it taken care of once we arrived back in the United States from his job at stars in concert in Berlin Germany. He is a Louis Armstrong tribute artist and has been featured on Oprah Winfrey and Dick Clark's your big break back in early the 2000s. (Link down below if you dont remember it)
A few days before he was complaining about some tooth ache, he had a mild runny nose and we made an appointment for the dentist on the 29th. That entire day he was running a high temperature and complaining of headaches. We just moved back to Connecticut and were looking at apartments and houses, were waiting on news for one we liked and he said he was tired and wanted to go rest. He slept until about midnight when he vomited. His temp was still high and about 5am that morning was too hot. I tried waking him but He was really unresponsive, And I called 911. it took About 15 minutes for him to become somewhat alert.
They rushed him to mid state hospital tried performing a cat scanned and MRI and spinal tap to test fluids. They noticed and infection on his brain. He was sent to Hartford Hospital. He was put into a medical coma and intubated, so a proper mri could be done.
Lab results show infection in the blood (sepsis) Spinal fluids show Meningitis.
Those MRI results showed is sinus infection , and infection on the brain, which penetrated through the skull. He was brought to emergency surgery that same evening. Another MRI was done at about 3:00 a.m. on the 31st. fter which revealed infection on his brain. He was brought into emergency surgery the next evening. Where they made a large incision on the top of his left skull, And drained the infection out from the area between his skull and brain.
Yesterday, he pulled out his own breathing tube. He we were hopeful, today we are blessed!!! Hes doing better than anyone could imagine. Listening to music last night, it brought him out of a daze. He started tapping to one of his favorite songs and he's been progressing since.
Today his son, daughter, granddaughter and cousin came in from Ohio. He is now sitting in a chair, talking, although still with some speech and right sided weakness. As of today, they want him to go to an acute rehab for acouple weeks.
There are expenses. His insurance covers 80%. And a ton of other expenses we will be incurring. A few friends asked for this to be set up. We will update offen. Please keep Milton in your prayers. Heres the video of his medical healing.... we both travel for work. Between his gigs in Germany and our pet transport business, the unforeseen future has us worried
It was later discovered this was caused by salmonella we contracted from a dog transported from Brazil. The breeder hid this dogs illness from us. It was never because of his tooth!

WE AREN'T the type to ask for help. We are usually the ones helping others. Monthly we help needy families with food and other things. Now we are in need.
