On November 22, 2021 my son called me that he had a great time with his wife on a getaway weekend and that they were driving back home already.  We spoke briefly and laughed said I love you, drive safe, and we hung up. 20 minutes later he calls me and says, "Mom", I said "hey?" He said, "Mom, a trailer hit us and I can't move, I'm in pain, I have a very bad pain, and Cassie (his wife) is bleeding from her face". My heart dropped or blood flow dropped real quick that I could feel my arms, hands, face cold and my stomach was in a big knot. All I could say is, "Okay, well I'm on my way, and I'll be there as soon as I can". I felt like my world had stopped and I just wanted to get to them as soon as possible.

This 18 wheeler almost took the lives of my son and my daughter in law! But it was God's grace that saved them. And I'm very thankful that they didn't have my grandson with them.  He will need a hip reconstruction since it got fractured from the impact.  My daughter in law has bruised lungs, bruises on her lower abdomen and chest from the seatbelt and a slight fracture on her left hand so they put a splint on it.

They will need financial assistance and any donations will be appreciated. He will be needing a front-wheel walker, maybe crutches or a cane and probably a raised toilet seat, raised bed, physical therapy, and medical trip expenses.
