Help Cliff afford treatments
Donation protected
A year ago in March of 2015, my dad Cliff Kruse was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He was first treated with several rounds of chemo until his body could no longer handle more chemo. Cliff's doctors then recommended the new immune therapy Opdivo -- which in my dad's case was not effective. Therefore, in a search for more effective treatment options, in February Cliff began flying to Colorado twice a month in order to participate in clinical trials offered at the Anchutz Cancer Center. While there, two brain tumors were successfully treated by targeted radiation by his oncologists. We have great faith the specialists in Colorado will find a successful treatment for Cliff's lung cancer; however, we also know this may be a long, difficult and expensive journey.
A group of Cliff's friends are hosting a benefit to raise funds to help offset the many expenses Cliff is encountering. The benefit will include a silent auction. It will begin at noon on Saturday, April 23 at Goozman's Westside in Harlan, Iowa. We have created this GoFundMe page for those family and friends who would like to help, but are not able to attend the benefit.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and prayers.
