Our Rose

On the afternoon of Thursday, August 25, 2022, Rosemarie Palomo Hasan fought her last battle with breast cancer after a diagnosis in March 2020. The last couple of years were an emotional rollercoaster, but nevertheless, she remained extremely optimistic, and as always, lived to make life full of colorful experiences. Even still, as her prognosis worsened, she took care of herself, her husband, and two children. `

Rose was the hub of her family, coordinating her and Hakim's work and workouts, with Yohannes and Ari's school, and sports activities, while maintaining balance with social time with friends and family in person or on zoom calls. She would often randomly check in with loved ones by phone or text whether she was in the States or abroad. It is her genuine love, kindness, and caring spirit we will all miss and hope to still feel her light. But, we will always remember her voice. She had the voice of an angel. Now our Rose has her wings.
