Hi, im Kelly and that picture is my gorgeous Romanian rescue dog Esme who we have had for almost 5 years.

I’m taking on a month-long sponsored walking challenge with my dog, combining our kilometres to virtually walk from Dover to Kirkcaldy (785km) — the very journey my dog made when she was rescued.

She arrived in the UK by van in Dover, frightened and unsure, after being saved in Romania by an incredible woman who dedicates her life to rescuing dogs. From there, she travelled all the way to Kirkcaldy, where she finally found her forever home with me and my family.

Now, we’re walking that route back — step by step — to give something back.

Every kilometre we walk will help raise funds for the rescuer in Romania who saved my dog’s life, and who continues to care for many more dogs and cats who are still waiting for safety, food, shelter and a chance of a home.

This challenge isn’t just about distance.

It’s about gratitude.

It’s about giving back.

And it’s about helping the dogs who haven’t made it home yet.

If you’re able to donate, share, or cheer us on, it truly means the world — to me, to my dog, and to the many dogs still waiting ❤️

Thank you for your support!
