Urgent Help Needed to Keep a Mother, Her Child, and Their Dog Together

I never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but someone I care deeply about is in a terrifying situation and needs help immediately.

My friend is a loving mother to her nine-year-old son and the devoted owner of a dog who is her family. She is currently facing eviction and owes close to $6,5000 in back rent. If she can’t come up with this amount, she and her son could lose their home at any moment.

What makes this even more heartbreaking is that she has nowhere safe to go. Family is not an option, and most shelters or temporary housing won’t allow dogs—especially dogs who aren’t comfortable around other people or animals. Her dog is not disposable. She is part of her family and a source of comfort and protection for her and her child. Separating them would be devastating.

She is doing everything she can, but she’s overwhelmed, scared, and running out of time. If she can raise this money, she can stay in her home and avoid eviction, keeping her family together and stable.

I’m asking for help because no one should have to choose between a roof over their head and their child or their pet. Any amount—big or small—will go directly toward covering her rent and preventing this family from becoming homeless.
