MJ Etua has dedicated her life to sharing her love of theatre with audiences and with young people throughout the Golden Triangle and Louisville areas. As a devoted teacher, the creator and director of Starkville Community Theatre’s Project P.LA.Y., and a longtime actor, director, and volunteer for SCT, MJ has brought her passion for theatre, storytelling, and music to hundreds of people of all ages. Her greatest impact, however, has been on the children of this community through Project P.LA.Y.

Last month, a devastating fire destroyed MJ’s home. She lost everything — including a lifetime of irreplaceable memories. After spending several days in the hospital, MJ is now recovering in temporary housing, while her family and friends work to help her find a new place to call home. Between medical bills and the costs of setting up a rental property, MJ is now facing overwhelming expenses.

To help her get back on her feet, we’ve created this GoFundMe to give people the opportunity to support a woman who has given so much of herself to so many.
