Angus needs help!

Hello, my name is Kelly, and I'm reaching out for help with my beloved cat, Angus. After being missing for 12 agonizing days, Angus somehow made his way back home on Friday afternoon, dragging himself through the cat door with two broken legs.

Our relief at his return was quickly shattered when we discovered the heart-breaking truth: someone had shot him with an air rifle, shattering both of his legs. It’s unimaginable that anyone could do this to such a beautiful and defenceless creature.
Despite his injuries, Angus was determined to return home to the safety and love he knew. I’m in awe of his strength and bravery—how he managed to make it back is beyond me.
Angus is now at a specialist veterinary clinic where he will undergo surgery today to try and save one, if not both, of his legs. Unfortunately, there is a significant chance that he may lose one. Additionally, we're concerned about the possibility of infection from the bullet fragments visible in the x-ray below.
The surgery, hospital stay, and aftercare are estimated to cost around €8,000. Unfortunately, I don’t have pet insurance, and my savings alone won’t cover these expenses. We have paid €500 for the x-ray at our vet and the hospital is quoting €7k for the operation / hospital stay and then we have after care which will include another x-ray to ensure success of surgical implants and bone healing.
Angus' incredible will to survive and return home to the people who love him cannot be in vain. If you are able to contribute anything to help my sweet boy, Angus, I would be eternally grateful.

With love,
Kelly and family
