Hello,
My name is William Westbrook Jr. I am a former City of Memphis Firefighter, serving the city and its citizens for 31 years. I was diagnosed with Cancer, I have rare and incurable form of Cancer ,Mycosis Fungodies Sezary. The City of Memphis had previously dropped all retirees from the City employee's health insurance. The citizens voted to pay extra taxes to restore the insurance for retirees. During the period without insurance, I amassed a huge sum of medical bills that are ongoing now. The City declined my Cancer claim as job-related and left me out in the cold so to speak. I sometimes have to travel to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, which is where most of the debt was accumulated. I'm paying a hefty amount of my pension to keep the debt collectors at bay. The Cancer has put a great strain and stress on me. Although I have been showing some improvement I still have a ways to go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
