Save Our Children

I am sharing this story on behalf of my very dear friend….

Our family has experienced deep trauma and loss in the past month and a half. The brief overview is that we found out my children were being abused by my father. Within a few days (and a lot of happenings in between), my father took his own life.

This dual trauma and all the baggage that comes with it has been very hard for our children. Having dealt with my own trauma, I’m pro-therapy and worked quickly to get services in place for them.

Even with help from the police and Child Advocacy center, the copays on therapy are more than we expected and can afford.

We’re looking to cover one year’s with of copays with a local trauma therapy center. They are a really great organization and we would like to be able to give the kids at least one year with them, as a head start on their healing journey.

We are so proud of the bravery and strength the kids have shown during this time. They are breaking generational curses and bravely stand against abuse. There is no doubt in my mind that if they heal from this early and fully, they’ll use their story to help others.

Any amount you can give will help with their journeys and help them help others heal in the future.
