My name is Rick Burke and I live near Charlotte, North Carolina. As many of you have seen on TV, Asheville, North Carolina (2 hours West of Charlotte) was destroyed by Hurricane Helene. Many people are still without power and estimates are that fresh water will not be available for more than 1 month. I am issuing a plea to all of my friends and fellow members of Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius to help me raise funds to purchase bottled water, gasoline, shovels, and food, which I will personally drive out to Asheville in my truck. I have several friends in the area helping with recovery efforts, and I will transfer any supplies I deliver to them for distribution to specific families in need. Any donations you can provide of any amount would be greatly appreciated. If you can't donate funds, please pray for a speedy recovery and for all the volunteers who are working to help provide relief.
