Mj Facer, Fighting Stage 5 Kidney Cancer

Hi, my name is Mackenzie Fox and I am a good friend of Katyrose Veinot. Let me tell you a little about Katyrose’s oldest daughter Maryjane, better known as Mj.

Mj is a typical 5 year old girl! She LOVES unicorns, any sort of animal & baking. The only thing that makes her a little different from typical kids her age is that she is fighting stage kidney cancer with wilms tumors. These tumors are super rare & spread rapidly. This diagnosis came in June & really flipped her family’s world upside down. Mj also has two little sisters who are almost 4 named McKenna & Jordan. After this devastating diagnosis they wanted to react as quickly as possible to help those tumors shrink. She was suppose to start Kindergarten this past fall but put that on hold to have her health first. Weeks have turned into months of combined chemo and radiation with still no sign of stopping. Sometimes inpatient or sometimes coming home in between. This has been a lot of everyone. Maryjane currently has a feeding tube still in place. They have removed one of Mj’s kidneys & continue to try treatment to slow down the spread of the tumors onto her remaining kidney and the rest of her body. Because of the rareness of these tumors she’s been able to qualify for some clinical trials so they’re being doing those in hopes it will slow down the spread of this horrible disease & give her some more time in this sweet life. As Mj spends most days receiving treatment at AI, when she’s not there she’s at home resting before a new week of treatment and scans. Please pray over the scans Maryjane will receive at the end of December. This scans will determine the progression of her condition.

This obviously isn’t what any parent wants their baby to go through. It’s been very emotionally, physically and financially draining for everyone in Mj’s life. The purpose of this GoFundMe is to help take help take some of the financial burden off this strong family! There has been another GoFundMe created months ago, but Katyrose has not been able to receive those funds in their entirety. The funds raised by this GoFundMe will go DIRECTLY to Katyrose. Our community has been so amazing & supportive of this family. With dinners provided 3 nights a week and over 100 cars who joined us in the recent Christmas light parade, I’m sure we will be able to help take some financial burden off of them as well.
