Mizuno Rockstar Family Needs Our Help

Dear Volleyball Community,

My name is Joy Mckienzie Fuerbringer, Director of Mizuno Long Beach VBC  and Head Coach Long Beach State Women's Volleyball , and my husband is Matt Fuerbringer, Director of Team Rockstar VBC and Associate Coach Long Beach State Women's Volleyball. 

Our dear friend Marleinna Iamaleava and her family need our help.  For those of you that do not have the privilege to know Leinna, she is an AMAZING mother of 8 beautiful children, and wife of Nick Iamaleava.   Their eldest son Matthew just started his freshman year playing volleyball at Long Beach State and also coaches for Team Rockstar VBC. 

Leinna was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer at the end of 2020. We are trying to get her into City of Hope, but they are not accepting her insurance. We would like to raise money to help with medical bills and expenses that will come up along this tough journey they will face. 

Any amount of donation can help. Our goal is $65,000. The funds raised will be presented in a check directly to Marleinna Iamaleava for medical expenses, treatment and any other family expenses. Please reach out if you have any resources that we could look into or any information to pass onto the family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Iamaleava family during this time.
