Event 1. Melbourne Kokoda Trek (30km)
On Sunday Oct 22nd we will take on our first event with the 30 km Kadoka Challenge, a tough 30km course through the Dandenong Ranges. This event supports the Kokoda Youth Foundation. All money raised for the Kokoda Youth Foundation will enable this group to continue work with Australian youth and changing communities in which they live. They do this by facing barriers in young people, breaking cycles of dependence and welfare, addressing mental health issues, suicide prevention, creating teams and creating individuals who work in teams with the core values of courage, endurance, mateship and sacrifice along with many more life changing outcomes. Event 2. Fred Hollows Coastrek (2 x 60km)
Our second and third events are the Melbourne 60km Coastal Trek and the Sydney 60km Coastal Trek . The Melbourne event is Nov 18, in the Mornington Penninsula, the Sydney event is Fri 17 Mar around Sydney’s stunning coastline.
Both events are sponsored by the Fred Hollows Foundation to restore sight to people living with avoidable blindness in over 25 countries around the world, including in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. In developing countries 4 our of 5 people who are blind don’t need to be. It can cost as little as $25 to restore sight. Find out more here: https://melbourne.coastrek.com.au/about

Event 3. Oxfam (100km)
The previous events are a lead up to the Oxfam 100km Trailwalk 7-9 April 2017, a challenging event that also changes lives. Teams walk through Warburton, the Dandenong Ranges and Melbourne’s outer suburbs.
Oxfam Australia is part of a global movement of dedicated people working hard to fight poverty and injustice. Every day, 1 in 7 people go to bed hungry, yet the world produces enough food to feed all 6 billion of us. Oxfam funds long-term projects, responds to emergencies and campaigns for change. Oxfam believes that simply giving hand outs is not the answer and instead provides people with the skills, knowledge and resources to help them create their own solutions to poverty.
