A Young Soul Fighting for His Life
Ongoing Dialysis & Critical Care Needed
If you’ve ever met Miytus, you know he’s not “just a dog.” He’s a radiant, soulful presence who brings peace, laughter, and comfort to everyone he meets. Miytus has this way of lifting spirits instantly, simply by being himself.
But everything changed in a matter of days. Miytus was diagnosed with Leptospirosis, a sudden and aggressive bacterial infection that causes acute kidney failure and severe complications. His only chance at survival has been emergency dialysis, around-the-clock hospitalization, and a long recovery process ahead.
He's only 23 months old, just weeks away from his second birthday, a milestone his parents, Johan and Shanté, had been excitedly preparing to celebrate with love and joy.
Day 9 of the Fight
Miytus has made small but promising progress since starting treatment enough to give his parents hope that their little fighter can pull through. But his condition remains fragile. He’s gone through 2 dialysis treatments, his blood levels are going down but he still hasn’t eaten in 5 days so he remains under continued hospitalization, and specialized care to give him a real shot at life.
So far, over $25,000 has already been spent, completely draining Johan and Shanté’s savings and credit. The full cost of care is expected to climb higher with daily bills ranging from blood work, treatment and housing.
Despite the heartbreak of being separated from him, his parents still manage to see him cherishing every limited visit they get. They’ve seen his will to fight and are determined to do whatever it takes to see Miytus come home again healthy, happy, and ready to celebrate his second birthday.
How You Can Help
They’re asking for help not just financially, but emotionally:
Donate: Every contribution, big or small, directly funds Miytus’ life-saving treatment.
Share: The more people who know his story, the greater his chances of survival.
Send love & prayers: Your kindness is keeping this family strong.
Miytus is a fighter. He hasn’t given up and neither will we. Together, we can make sure this little soul gets the second chance at life he deserves.
With gratitude,
Written on behalf of Johan & Shanté
