Help Mitchell Get Back on His Feet
Donation protected
First and foremost, thank you for reading this. My 20 year old brother, Mitchell was in a major car accident while on his way to work on 3/25/2015. He had to be life flighted to the hospital and will be in his hospital bed for the next 6 months. The impact of the accident shattered the bones in his feet and ankles and was so destructive that he may not walk for another year, if at all. Since his bones were shattered, his reconstructive surgeries will be quite complicated and frequent and be followed by years of extensive physical therapy.
Mitchell was 4 weeks away from finishing his sophomore year in college at the University of Southern Indiana, finishing up his season as a volunteer track coach for North Posey High School and was working for an electric company to help him pay his way through school. Since the accident, Mitchell had to withdraw from schooling without reimbursement and his once active lifestyle has completely changed.
His athletics and healthy lifestyle makes this situation a harder pill to swallow because his life will be so different for quite some time, but it also gives us hope that he is equipped to learn to walk again.
Our family will do everything we can to pay off the medical bills and costs of living and they continue to build every day. Our family and Mitchell are asking you to please help if you are able, spread the word of our fundraiser and keep Mitchell in your thoughts. We will provide updates on how Mitchell is doing and his progress in ‘getting back on his feet’. Thank you for considering to help our family.
Love,
Leslie
