On Monday, March 19th, 2018 the Mitchell Family was left homeless.

A tornado destroyed their South Fulton County home and their lives.

The toughest lesson Venita Mitchell has learned -- has been letting her renter’s insurance lapse. It’s a mistake that has cost this DeKalb County teacher everything.

Right now, the Mitchell Family is trying to raise at least $10,000 dollars in an effort to replace what was damaged, but more importantly, find a place to house 6 people.

Mitchell really cannot afford much on a teacher’s salary.
