Mitchell Stewart

Little Mitchell was hospitalized a couple of weeks ago when he suddenly had trouble keeping anything down and was vomiting and aspirating. He took a very sudden turn for the worse last week and we thought we were going to lose him. His little heart failed and soon after, his kidneys failed. He was put on life support as we waited to see if he could withstand a surgery to repair his heart. Friends, family and strangers across the country lifted him up in prayer continually and, defying the odds, Mitchell was put into surgery and pulled through like champ. The next day his kidneys began to function again and he was removed from life support because his little body was working on its own! He is currently recovering and is still on the breathing machine and sedated. He will need further work done on his heart as he grows but we are Praising the Lord for our little miracle man!

I started this gofundme account to help Mitchell’s family with the burden of expenses incurred during this unimaginable experience. Aside from any medical expenses (which I can’t fathom at this point) my brother, Mitchell’s dad, was forced to take extra time off work unpaid, also they live several hours away from the hospital and weren’t able to just run home to sleep or eat. As you can imagine, it all adds up.
