MIT Academy's Wind Turbine Team! Get to Nationals!

Hi everyone,

We are a dedicated group of students with a passion for engineering, and we need your support! This opportunity was amazing for us, especially since we’re seniors and all of us want to pursue the engineering field. We achieved second place in regionals and were selected to represent our school at the KidWind national competition in Minneapolis, and we became very excited about it.

Our school would like us to find ways to fund our own trip, which includes expenses such as plane tickets, hotel accommodations, and equipment to build our turbine for the competition. As enthusiastic as we are, these costs add up quickly and it’s hard to afford especially with college around the corner.

This is where you can help us. By donating to our GoFundMe campaign, you'll be directly supporting our trip to Minneapolis and helping us showcase our skills elsewhere other than school. Your donation will enable us to cover the necessary expenses, allowing us to focus on designing and building the most efficient turbine possible, and possibly placing high in the competition.

Our goal is to raise $7500 to cover all travel expenses and equipment costs. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to achieving our goal. Not only will you be helping us compete in KidWind nationals, but you'll also be helping us grasp the concept of what it means to be an engineer.
