Fighting an illness requires mental, emotional and physical strength. Unfortunately, it also requires money—often a lot of it. Even with health insurance, there is a struggle to pay high out of pocket expenses.  My childhood friend, Misty, is facing this situation now. She has been battling Multiple Autoimmune Diseases including Systemic Lupus Erythematous, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and now currently heart issues and Cellulitis. Misty is currently in the hospital and has been for 9 days. She has exhausted all of her paid time off during this pandemic, along with her job protection through the family medical leave act to follow and facing foreclosure. She is a single mother with two sons. One is only 12 years old who needs his mommy. Misty has the biggest heart that the world has ever seen and would help anyone in a time of need. Misty promises to pay this forward to others when she is able to do so.
