Hey everyone, it’s Misty DreamMaker (Klein). I never thought I’d be in this position again, but life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way. I recently had to undergo emergency surgery, and there’s a chance I’ll need a second one tomorrow. This means I’ll be completely out of commission for at least 6 weeks, and to be honest, I’m struggling to keep my head above water between the physical pain and emotional distress this is causing. I’ve just finished school and with unexpected medical bills, and regular bills piling up and no way to work, I need $10,000 just to stay afloat—covering rent, utilities, food, and basic necessities. Asking for help like this is incredibly humbling (and honestly, a little uncomfortable), but sometimes, we have to lean on our community.
