Misty & Joe Thomas - Medical Treatment

Hi, my name is Jennifer Meskell. I have created this page on behalf of a dear friend and co-worker of mine, Misty Thomas. Whether you know her personally or by name or not at all, let me make my own introduction. Misty has worked at Envista Forensics for 8 years now. She is one of the kindest, most gentle, sweet, loving, souls I have ever met. Always quick to lend a hand to anyone in need or offer a kind word to elicit a needed smile. She is an intelligent and extremely hard worker. I treasure the part that she plays in my life, and wish that there were more people like her not just at Envista, but in the world. I believe that we reap what we sow and karma comes back to us ten fold. Misty is due some good karma, hence this page.

Misty and her husband Joe were just dealt the hand that none of us ever want to receive, a cancer diagnosis. Joe was recently diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He has missed a lot of time at work due to the constant medical appointments and testing and will continue to do so in the coming months as he begins his road to treatment and recovery. This has and will continue to cause the bills to pile up, putting Misty and Joe further and further in debt. As we all know, insurance only covers a small portion for things like this, and right off the bat, a $7,000 deductible will need to be met before any coverage kicks in. My goal is to raise $10,000 to cover the cost of that deductible as well as some of the lost wages that Joe has suffered.

Please take a moment to step into their shoes, feel their stress, pain and fears. No one going through something like this should need to worry about their finances. If we can all do a small part and make a donation, it will help alleviate a burden of stress that no one should have to endure. Each donation received lets Misty and Joe know that they are not alone during this dark time and will give them the peace of mind needed to remain positive and focused on what matters, Joe's health.
