Misty and Kash Support Fund

Misty experienced her greatest joy in life on November 26th when she became a first time mom. We always knew that she would be a wonderful mother (and that she is!). On January 29th Misty was admitted to the hospital with severe abdominal pain which was diagnosed as an abscess on the colon requiring surgery. A colonoscopy revealed a stage 3 tumor that next day.   They surgically removed the baseball sized tumor two days later. While the Cancer did spread to her lymph nodes, they are optimistic that they got it all during surgery. We look forward to receiving that confirmation after an upcoming pet scan.

Ten days later she is still hospitalized and trying to recover.

Many of you have asked family and friends what you can do to help so we created this page. Thank you for thinking of her during this difficult time.     She has a long journey ahead and will likely have chemo for six months.  As she is a real estate agent with cyclical income and the sole provider for Kash, you can imagine the financial burden that comes along with a cancer diagnosis is extremely worrisome. The money raised on this page will help to support her and Kash during this difficult time.   We will post updates on her progress as we learn more.  Being diagnosed with cancer - I’m sure people can appreciate that it is very, very scary and being a single parent just adds a whole other level of fear.
