Misty Adams Cancer Fighting Fund

Hello, my name is Tina Dunn, I am a friend and neighbor of Misty Adams.

I am reaching out to the loving family and friends of Misty.

I would Like to share the story of a wonderful human being, Misty , and her battle with cancer.

In May, Misty had surgery. She was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. She was waiting for recovery before she could start chemotherapy. But instead there were complications which prevented her to start treatment.

In early August she ended up back in the hospital. She had a second surgery. Tests showed the cancer had spread . She is now in stage 4 cancer. The cancer is aggressivly spreading.

By God's grace, Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona has accepted her as a patient. Mayo Clinic has some of the best cancer doctor's in the world! But unfortunately the hospital is 4 hours away from thier home and will cause financial hardship. She will need to commute to Phoenix twice a month for treatment.

Many of her family and friends have asked how they could help so I started this GofundMe account to raise funds for the Adams family and to let people know the needs of the family and give updates.

Transportation:

The Adams family live in Henderson, Nevada. The Mayo Clinic is a 4 hr drive. Due to her physical limitations Misty needs a low profile vehicle for the commute. They have been renting cars for the commute. If anyone has a small vehicle for sale, has discounts for rentals or airline tickets. Please email and let me know.

Funds for the Family:

Nevada does not have paid family medical leave. Each trip to Phoenix is 3-4 days.

Family will need to take unpaid time off to take her to treatment.

Funds will be used to help the family for loss of income.

Travel Expenses:

Funds are needed to help the family when they travel to Phoenix. Hotel , food and travel essentials.

Prayers:

Please pray for the Doctors at Mayo Clinic, for Misty to give her courage and strength to fight this cancer and her family to be her support.
