My dad lives in constant and chronic pain due to a broken back, he's lived with this problem since his early 20's and as he gets older, it's only getting worse. He has been on disability for years and has always struggled with making enough money to raise his children and pay for his medical bills (considering he's had over 4 surgeries on his back and thus far, none of them have helped). He has severe nerve pain, takes a plethora of meds and even still, nothing is helping. What he needs is surgery, not more narcotics. He is one of the strongest individuals I know and he has NEVER been one to ask for handouts. He has always done everything he could to help my brother and I growing up (regardless of the fact that we really didn't have the money)  his friends and anyone else in need, and now it's our turn to take care of him. Recently, he had an incident where he fell on his tense unit that's implanted in his lower back and since then he can't walk. For the past 2+ weeks he has been bedridden, taken to he ER 3-4 times in an ambulance and spent time in the hospital but the doctors just keep pumping him up with drugs and sending him back home. Until he can get the tense unit removed from his back, he can't even get an MRI so nobody really knows why he is in such excruciating pain. He can't live like this and it's killing our family to see him this way. He can't take even 2 steps without falling. His insurance covers 80% of his medical, but he doesn't even have the funds to cover the other 20%. I am starting this without his awarance, but he is in desperate need of help. Whether its $5, $10 or $50, absolutely ANYTHING will help at this point. It's breaking my heart hearing him crying/yelling from all the pain he endures on a daily basis and seeing him fall even just trying to make it to the bathroom is such a horrible thing for us to see. Not only does he need help medically, but his roof is leaking, his house needs painted and he just needs support. I can't stand seeing him this way any longer and I'm hoping some of you will be willing to help in any way possible. Thank you in advance and please keep him in your prayers.
