Hello Friends and Family,
You know me as Andrew—the smiling face behind your Sunday morning breakfast roll at Honey Ham. But I’m writing because I’d like to reintroduce myself. My name is Mister Davis. I’m chasing my dream, and I’d love for you to be part of the story.
You may not know it, but I’m a self-taught musician and a self-made man. I started teaching myself guitar, bass, and drums at age 13, and I left home when I was 17. Life has made me a hardworking, humble man, but 2020 made me a dreamer.
I started playing in bands at 12, and now, at 28, Mister Davis is my first project as a frontman. I’ve spent the past nine months writing and recording original songs. These new creations stand apart from the hundreds of songs I’ve written for other bands because this is the music I believe the world is missing. For the first time, my lyrics feel too personal for anyone else to sing.
The Mister Davis project has helped me fall even more deeply in love with music. This is the music I’ve always dreamed of making, and I can’t risk it not being heard. So I’m reaching out for your help to make this project a success.
My goal is to raise $50,000 to fund the recording, marketing, and distribution of my first studio album, self-titled Mister Davis. I have a team of experienced and talented people around me helping me to create top-of-the-line music, videos, and release strategies, but without sufficient funds and professional promotion, my music may never be heard.
Any contribution will help pay talented local musicians, producers and creatives who’ve joined my Mister Davis project. Daniel Sahad, the singer of Nané and a very close friend, is one of the first people who encouraged me to pursue this project. His enthusiasm made me realize I have a unique point of view that’s worth sharing with the world, and he eventually helped produce my music.
With Daniel’s help, I recorded an album with Frenchie Smith at The Bubble Recording Studio in Austin, Texas. Frenchie has worked with big names like Jet, Wild Child, The Darkness, and many more talented artists. I’m still shocked to be on his roster. I also enlisted my friends Gabe Posada (guitar), Nate West (drums), and Kyle Albrecht (bass) to play on this special project.
After a few days of recording, I bonded closely with Frenchie, who put his blood, sweat, tears, and stamp of approval onto the project. This talented team and I wholeheartedly believe we’ve made something special. I’d love to you join me as we set to change the world of music.
