Missy's Surgery Support

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Schel. Any of you who know me know what I am not particularly great at asking for help. If at all possible I like to do things myself. Though over the last couple years things have been a bit rough for not only myself but my Wife (Missy), and our Son (Micah) as well. Early last year we found out that my wife had a growth on her uterus. Thankfully, a biopsy showed it to be a benign fibroid. While not cancerous it has severely impacted Missy's life for almost 14 months now. That's 14 months of near constant bleeding, uterine cramps, and fatigue due to blood loss. She hasn't been able to do much outside of the house due to the amount of bleeding that this has caused. Some days the bleeding has been so bad all she can do is stay close to a bathroom and hope it slows. With the sometimes severe level of bleeding we constantly have to fight against and be checked for anemia.

After talking to the doctor about all of this the choice became clear. Not only did the fibroid need to be removed but so did the uterus as well to ensure that another one did not take it's place. This surgery was supposed to happen last year. Sadly, due to some issues with our local medical system they had to cancel a mere month before the joyous day. They had no new date for us so we went back to waiting and going through life as best we could.

Well, thankfully 2024 started with good news ; a surgery date for the much needed hysterectomy! This February 20th is the official date. (We've nicknamed it Yeet the Uterus day). However, with surgery comes the cost of said surgery. And recovery is time that my lovely wife is unable to work. Also, while the surgery is good and welcome news, not everything this 2024 has been great. Both me and my Wife recently have had to look for new employment meaning that income has not been quite as steady as planned.

That all brings me here, to any of you who find yourselves reading this. My little family finds themselves in need to some financial assistance to help smooth over the roughness of an otherwise great moment. This will help us keep our medical debt low, continue to pay the bills and just make the whole process as smoothly as possible. So please, if you are in a position to do so, maybe help out me and my family a bit. Any amount would go a long way to helping us with the trails that have been laid before us.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. If, for any reason, you are unable to support us financially kind words and simply sharing this around among people you know if greatly appreciated. I hope that this year treats you, and those you love, kindly.
