Missys final chapter

This is one of the hardest messages I’ve ever written.

Missy is our beloved 16-year-old border collie. She’s been more than a pet—she’s a solid part of the family. Her life has been filled with joy, loyalty, and adventure. Even during times when I couldn’t house her due to private renting, she stayed with my parents and truly thrived: long walks on the beach, playtime in the parks, and endless love part of her golden years.

But now, time is catching up with our sweet fur baby

Missy's health is rapidly declining. She’s developed painful cysts, glaucoma has clouded her vision, and her hips and back legs are failing—she can hardly move without being carried. The vet has explained that further tests would only confirm what’s already heartbreakingly clear.

I've made the agonising decision that I need to help her pass peacefully, with dignity and without prolonged suffering.

Unfortunately, the cost of living makes even that final kindness hard to afford .

Times are tough and sadly, saying goodbye to a beloved pet isn’t just emotionally painful—it also comes with vet costs I can’t manage on my own. I never imagined I’d be in a position to ask for help like this, but I ask whatever you can whether it's £1 or simply sharing this campaign, every gesture means the world. Your support will go toward the vet care needed to give Missy the gentle goodbye she deserves—surrounded by the same love and comfort she has always given us.

She’s been part of my family for 16 years through everything. And now, I want to make sure her final moments are calm, kind, and surrounded by love—not clouded by stress or delays.
