When you think of a warrior, you would describe them as someone who defied the odds. Someone who was resilient and challenged those who did not believe they were capable. Our friend, Melissa Spence, is by definition a warrior. She has always been our warrior. The person who constantly helped us to defy the odds and persevere in the face of challenges.


We are reaching out to all of you because this same warrior is now having to face an extremely important challenge.


Our dear friend Missy Spence, age 36,  was recently diagnosed with Stage 2-3 invasive breast cancer. Missy noticed a lump in her breast 3 years ago and was unfortunately misdiagnosed as tests came back inconclusive and didn't know she could question further.


She is now in the fight of her life that will not only be difficult for her but for her beautiful family. Missy has an amazing husband, Stewart,  and two beautiful young girls, Stella age 4 and Scarlett age 3. Missy is going to receive her treatments at SunnyBrook Hospital in Toronto. These treatments are extensive and are going to take a toll on the entire family. Missy is on leave from work as she receives her treatments and Stewart will also be on leave as he supports Missy through her treatments.
