Missy Speer Memorial Fund

Losing a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend like Missy is extremely hard on everyone–and grief comes in many forms. It’s natural to feel sad, mad, depressed, and even helpless.

With the holidays and new year approaching, several of you have reached out to ask how you might be able to help the Speer family. It’s so difficult to answer that question. The passing of Missy is so fresh in all of our minds and the grieving her loss has only begun. Getting “back to normal” seems impossible and spending the holiday season without her seems unfathomable.

When a family loses someone so unexpectedly, the expense of a funeral and burial are extra burdens that linger far after the day she was laid to rest. Yet, this is one burden that friends and family can help lift.

If you can donate to help the Speers at this holiday season, we’d truly appreciate it. However, we will be keeping this campaign open for some number of months as we understand how expensive the holiday season can be.

Missy will be missed by all this holiday, this new year, and every year after. But we aren’t helpless. In fact, we know Missy’s love lives on in each us forever.
