Missy and Mama

Hello everyone,

My husband and I found two abandoned husky/shepherds, who were on the side of the road eating trash. Of course we had to pick them up. We took them to the vet to check for a chip and unfortunately no luck. We took them home despite having two of our own fur babies and had to keep them separated, due to not knowing the situation quite yet. In the morning we were hoping to take them to a no kill shelter thinking we could get these babies to safety. After endless phone calls to about every no kill shelter, we have been denied by every single one. unfortunately, my husband and I had to leave town for Christmas so we decided to take them with us. As much as we fallen in love with these dogs we can’t keep them forever sadly, but we will keep them until they can get the help they deserve. we are on a wait list for a mom and pup shelter but we have to wait until after the holidays to possibly get in. Since having them in our home, we have learned that, although they are timid, they are so friendly and just want love. We have given them baths, taken them on walks and have been taking them to our small grass area to play. They have also gotten lots of food and water because the babies are expecting!! Mama is expecting 6-7 babies and Missy girl is expecting at least nine! we believe that one or both of them might be expecting babies. We were able to take them to the vet today and get them checked out. Now they have lots of land to run around and play for Christmas. We are so blessed we are able to give these babies a good Christmas. The babies are suspected to be due in about 10-15 days. We are doing everything we can. Much love xoxo
