Thank you for visiting my GoFundMe page & considering supporting my journey towards fulfilling yet another milestone on my bucket list, as well as helping me achieve my dream of becoming Miss Illinois USA 2016.

My name is Taara King. I have been selected as a contestant in the Miss Illinois USA 2016 pageant which will be held September 4-7th in Chicago, IL.  If I am rewarded with the title of Miss Illinois USA, I will then represent my state in the nationally televised Miss USA 2016 pageant on NBC. If I am crowned Miss USA , I would represent my country in the globally televised Miss Universe  pageant on NBC.

As part of my responsibilities as a contestant, I am required to raise $1,295 in sponsorship to cover my pageant expenses including accommodations, meals, production and entertainment expenses. I have set my goal at $2,500 to cover out of pocket expenses such as competition wardrobe, hair, makeup, head shots, and any other pageant-related expenses.  
 
My highest contributing sponsors (top 12) will receive advertising or recognition in the distinguished pageant program book.  However, even the smallest donation will be greatly appreciated and help me reach my goal.  If you are a business, your donation could come from your advertising budget, and be utilized as a business tax-deduction.

I have always dreamed of being a part of a platform that represents beauty and elegance, as well as supporting young women in fulfilling their goals and dreams.  I see this pageant as a vehicle to spark positive change and awareness to important causes and issues.  I am ecstatic about being able to participate in this year’s pageant and I look forward to the opportunity of being able to represent the amazing state of Illinois as the confidently beautiful Miss Illinois USA 2016.
