我哋點開始
喺2025年夏天，一班移民加拿大嘅香港人決定：辦一個屬於香港人嘅節日。
不過，呢個唔係臨急抱佛腳。我哋由 兩年前 已經開始籌備：
由零開始組織球隊、設計比賽制度、申請場地、聯絡表演單位同街頭小店，全靠一班義工一步一腳印完成，只為咗實現一個夢想——將香港文化延續落去。
咁就誕生咗第一屆《密西沙加香港節》，主打活動就係充滿港式精神嘅七人足球比賽——世港盃。
Our Starting Point
In the summer of 2025, a group of Hongkongers living in Canada came together with one goal: to create a festival by Hongkongers.
But this didn’t happen overnight.
We've been preparing for this festival for over two years—from forming teams and designing the tournament format, to securing the venue and building partnerships with performers and vendors. Every step has been powered by volunteers and community passion, with one goal in mind: to create a festival that truly belongs to Hongkongers.
The result is the Mississauga Hong Kong Festival, anchored by the World Kong Cup—a 7-a-side football tournament infused with Hong Kong spirit and open to multicultural teams from across Canada and abroad.
⚽ 《世港杯》七人足球賽
今日港人四散，天各一方，我哋希望用港式七人足球，邀請世界各地港人隊伍（溫哥華、多倫多、三藩市、紐約等），聯同來自唔同族裔（越南、韓國、非裔、本地加人等）嘅多元隊伍，以波會友，打破界限，傳承香港街場文化﹐足球唔止係輸贏，而係身份、語言、團結。
⚽ What is the World Kong Cup?
This tournament isn’t just about football—it’s about belonging, identity, and solidarity.
As Hongkongers find themselves scattered around the world, the World Kong Cup brings together teams from different cities—Vancouver, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, and more—to compete in Hong Kong Style 7-a-side football matches, just like the ones played in urban parks and rooftop pitches back home.
We’re also inviting multicultural teams (including local Canadians, Asians, and African diaspora teams) to foster cross-cultural connection and unity.
At its heart, this event is about:
Promoting Hong Kong’s unique football culture
Reuniting a diaspora through sport and community
Using soccer to build mutual respect and understanding across cultures

獅藝、書法、太極、鼓圈、工作坊、
長者、家庭、年青人嘅免費活動
係屬於我哋文化嘅嘉年華。
But the festival is about more than just the game.
We’re creating a full cultural experience:
• Live performances from Cantonese artists
• Hong Kong Style Street food and traditional vendors
• Workshops, games, and arts for all ages
• A celebration of Hong Kong identity, resilience, and talent on Canadian soil

Why We Need Your Help
We lost our major sponsor due to sudden tariff complications. As a first-year event, this loss has left a critical gap in funding just as everything was coming together.
We’ve already booked Paramount Fine Foods Centre Sportsplex, confirmed teams from across the Hong Kong diaspora, and brought together local businesses, artists, and volunteers. We’re almost there—but we need your support to make it happen.

World Kongers Organization
我哋係一班移居加拿大嘅香港人，喺2024年成立咗註冊非牟利組織 - 「世界港人組織 World Kongers Organization」，希望喺海外延續香港文化。
我哋嘅使命係：
連結世界各地嘅港人
向本地社區推廣香港文化
支援新移民、長者、青少年融入社區
以運動、藝術同節日活動建立歸屬感
世港盃，只係一個起點。
未來，我哋希望可以喺唔同城市辦比賽，無論你喺邊度，都可以一齊「以波會友」，講返我哋香港人嘅故事。
Who We Are
We are the World Kongers Organization, a registered Not For Profit Organization （NPO) , volunteer-run group formed in 2024 by Hongkongers living in Canada.
Our goals:
Reconnect the Hong Kong diaspora
Promote Hong Kong culture in multicultural communities
Engage newcomers, seniors, and youth
Strengthen community through sport, arts, and shared stories
The World Kong Cup is just the beginning.
We hope to bring it to different cities around the world—wherever Hongkongers call home.
