My name is Elianna, and I am deeply in love with Jesus. As a follower of Christ, I believe it’s vital to live out my faith boldly, not passively. I am learning every day how to do that here in Alabama, but I also have a heart for those across the world. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the most beautiful and powerful story ever told, a story that deserves to be heard by every ear. When I was 16, the Lord spoke to me and revealed that he wants me to keep my heart open to the invitation of missions. Since then, I’ve sought every opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus, by going out into the world, sharing His love wherever He leads me.

I attend a college ministry on Tuesday nights through Church of the Highlands called One. When they announced that the ministry would be going on a mission trip, I immediately turned to the person next to me and said, “I’m going.” In that moment, I knew without a doubt that the Lord was pressing on my heart, calling me to be a part of it. I am so grateful for the opportunity and cannot describe how excited I am to experience what God is doing in Rwanda, Africa. We will be doing hands-on outreach and partnering with a church there.
