I'm reaching out to you due to a recent family event which has turned our world upside down. So, July 4th was an especially joyous day for our family this year! My middle son, Aidan, and his wife, Kayla, welcomed their first child into the world, on Kayla's birthday. What an awesome birthday gift! He is a perfect little baby boy. We were all over the moon with joy for them. Well he was released from the hospital two days later and about 12 hours after getting home he was on his way back to the hospital. Thank God he was wearing an oxygen monitor on his ankle which was alarming because his oxygen levels were low. After visiting two hospitals, he was airlifted to the NICU at CHOP. It was determined that his oxygen levels, as well as his blood glucose levels, were low. He was also suffering from seizures and he had a group of doctors at his side running tests to try to determine what had happened. This was a very scary time for new parents Aidan and Kayla who just wanted to be at home with their new son. They went from feeling such joy at the birth of their son to fear and anxiety as they were dealing with every parent's nightmare. Maxwell is receiving excellent care at CHOP and is slowly making improvements. Aidan and Kayla have been by his side since his arrival and he has received many visits from friends and family. He is so loved by everyone. The doctor's continue to perform tests to find the route to the appropriate treatment for Maxwell's case. He is expected to spend several weeks at CHOP in order to find the appropriate treatment and to get him stabilized. Aidan and Kayla could just use some help getting through this difficult time. If you could provide your support by making a small donation, it would be greatly appreciated by myself and Aidan and Kayla. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your help!!
