My daughter and her family are missionaries in Pucallpa, Peru, working with a self-supporting ministry called Peru Projects. This organization reaches remote jungle communities in the Peruvian Amazon using aircraft, as most of these areas can only be accessed by boat or plane. A one-hour flight is comparable to a 20-hour journey by boat, making airplanes essential for connecting with these communities. Their ministry employs these planes for transporting medical emergencies, humanitarian aid, Bible workers, missionaries, and evangelistic teams.
For the past five years, my daughter and her husband have relied on others or public transportation to get around because they do not have their own personal transportation. They had been saving to purchase a motokar (a motorcycle equipped with a back bench), but after the birth of their daughter, they realized that a motokar would not meet their family's needs. They require a vehicle that ensures safety, allows my daughter to buy groceries, and run errands in town with the baby. As well as travel further distances from their base.
This leads them to the necessity of acquiring a car or SUV. However, finding a used vehicle in Peru is quite challenging. Consequently, they will need to purchase a brand-new car, which means their modest savings will not suffice. The cost of vehicles ranges from $30,000 to $50,000 for a basic family model.
I am reaching out to request assistance in raising the necessary funds for this vehicle. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated. This family has sacrificed so much to serve the Lord in a foreign land, and after five years, they genuinely require this support to meet the needs of their growing family.
May God bless you for your kindness.
