Mission Trip to the Philippines

Dear friends,
Beth, the children and I have been blessed with the opportunity to go to the Philippines to do outreach in an area not touched by the gospel yet.
The funds collected will be going to the outreach project for San Isidro Balingasag Misamis Oriental Philippines.
They will be used to spread the good news in both health and Gospel.
We have contacted the district leader Pastor Ricky Conol and members of the church, plus Pastor Dick Familar of the neighbour island (Camiguin) church district who also will be involved with the work. We also have on board Pastor Ramon Moriente the executive secretary of the Seventh Day Adventist Conference who will be taking the evangelism seminars. Beth and I will be taking a series of health seminars in the morning sessions of the crusade, and Pastor Ramon Moriente will be in the afternoon.
There will be also workshops with the members prior to the crusade and then on with pastor Ricky Conol for nurturing after the Baptisms.
They have welcomed with open arms the plans to evangelise this area, and the ground work is going ahead as you read this letter.
The Mission Project costs:
Key: P = Peso (Philippine Currency)
*2 laymen possibly 3 going house to house every day doing the ground work (happening as you read this as we provided 1 months wages already but they have 2 months to go!)
· Laymen fees for 3 months’ work.
P6,000 month per person
2 Laymen = P12,000
3 Months work = P36,000 = £600
· Venue – Balingasag Hall Centre P5,000 per day
7 days (1-week crusade) = P35,000 = £573
· Transport - This is for an 18-seater van, fuel, 2 volunteer drivers who will transport the people to the crusade venue and back home for those unable to travel.
P3,500 per day x 11 days = P38,500 = £622
· Bibles, books, materials incl. pens, paper etc. = P12,000 = £197
· Food & drinks, for health outreach program including light meals for attendees, cooking classes, hydro therapy classes and natural remedies using local herbs and foods easily available = P16,000 = £263
· Projector = We will donate our own
· Medium spec second hand laptop to leave with the church £85
· Second hand Sound system P8,000 = £131
We need the funds asap as preparation is essentail to the final week of the outreach which takes place on the 12th March to the 18th March.
We will be documenting the entire trip and experience with photos and digital video so you can see where your prayers and financial help truly went and what impact it made to this small area of the country.
