I am Kyle Gibson. I am discerning the missionary priesthood currently. I spent one year in Diocesan seminary in Houston but was hungry for more. I began discerning with Maryknoll about Holy Week last year but it did not work out. The sense of a call to the missionary priesthood has not left me. This past month I have been doing Uber, serving in my parish and volunteering at Casa Juan Diego. This month I began discerning with the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT), a group I served with when I taught in Corpus Christi. God opened a door for me to serve at a SOLT Mission in Belcourt, North Dakota, right on the border with Canada. My hope is that it will help me discern better if I should apply to "aspirancy" to eventually enter SOLT and do seminary with them. It looks like I will be teaching 5th and 6th graders at a local Catholic school up there. I was asked to raise 3000 dollars to pay for my stipend while there and other expenses, so that is what this is about. I am supposed to arrive around November 3rd or 4th, so I hope I can raise it before I leave. That would be beautiful. Thank you for your prayers and support. If you give to me, know I am carrying you on mission with me in my prayers and day-to-day activities.
