Since September 2024, residents of Western North Carolina have been displaced due to damage to their homes in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Our group, Volunteer thru Faith, working with local churches, has continued to help rebuild homes that were damaged or destroyed and are still in need of assistance. We work alongside Baptist on Mission, who provide us with housing, meals, and building materials to complete the task. The need remains urgent, and many families are still waiting for help to restore their lives. In the past, we have been able to cover expenses for 10 mission trips over the last 20 months, but we are at a point where we are in need of help.
All funds raised will be used to offset fuel costs, purchase any building materials that are not provided, and cover meals on Saturday and Sunday, which are not provided through Baptist on Mission. Any excess funds raised will go directly to a family in need in the affected areas. Your support will help us continue our mission and ensure that we can reach more families who are still struggling to recover.
Anyone who is willing and able to join our mission and be a part of our team will be received with open arms. If you are unable to join physically but would like to offer financial help, it would be a blessing beyond measure. We are a Christian-based group striving to be the hands of Jesus to those in need. This area has been out of the spotlight for the last year and is still in so much need. Thank you for considering being a part of rebuilding Western North Carolina.
