I am fortunate enough to have all of the basic necessities in life, and when I was given the opportunity to join a mission team traveling to Guatemala, I knew I wanted to give back. Being able to help provide some of the things I have always had—like safe places to learn and access to healthcare—to a community in need is deeply important to me. This mission trip is a chance for me to step outside my comfort zone and make a real difference in the lives of others.

During our time in Guatemala, our team will be playing games and sports with children, building health centers and schools, and spending time learning about the community’s customs and traditions. One of the most meaningful parts of our trip is that we will be leaving all of the medical supplies we bring with us for the community to use after we leave. The funds I raise will go directly toward airfare, materials for the buildings, and medical resources that will have a lasting impact long after our visit.
